Music is Life

Everyone will have their own mother as their first teacher in life. When i was younger I began by imitating my mothers singing of lallubies, devotional songs and prayer songs. At the age of three, Edavanakad Sudhan sir from North Paravoor Chian Kovil Kalasamidhi brought me the basics of learning Karnatic music. In addition, I began studying Tamil keerthans with Chian Kovil Ganeshan Master. In the age of 9, I had my stage debut at the Varapuzha Sri Jayadurga temple.  Since then, I have had numerous opportunities to perform both within and beyond Kerala. Studied karnatic music under the direction of many teachers. Approximately 12 years were spend learning karnatic music from Mattancherry Sri N.P. Ramaswamy sir. I am still going strong with my studies Through online platform I am also operating the Amritha tharanginischool of Music. Had the chance to take part in Nadaswara kacheri along with Sir Pakkir swami, a nadaswara expert and also in Nadaswara kacheris held across Kerala, Thanjavur, Alamgudi, Chennai and other Tamil nadu cities. Participated in numerous reality shows, including Onnam ragam on Doordarshan, Voice 2004 on Jeevan TV and Gandharvasangeetham on Kairali TV, but Asianet sponsored reality series Idea Star Singer 2007 is where I gained the greatest public recognition.  Earned the Chambai Smaraka cash award from Kerala Government in 2004 for staging on most 400 musical performances for audiences under the age of 16.
